Adventures with Fall Colors
It's been a long time since I've seen fall foliage. In Houston, as most of you know, we're hard pressed to find trees that change color to anything besides brown before the leaves fall. But here in Kansas City there actually is a season called Autumn where the leaves change to orange, yellow and red! So, yesterday my sister and I took a trip to a park nearby to take photos of these beautiful colors and I thought I'd share them with you. Enjoy!

Birthday Adventure
Hey friends! So in case you didn't know, my birthday was on Sunday and I turned 27 years old!! Yes... I am that old now. I mean, young. I'm 27 years young. Isn't that how they say it when they start getting older? LOL.
Anyway, I had an enjoyable birthday. Lots of fun. First we went to a Cider Mill where a Cider Festival (AKA CideFest) was going on. They had live music, a pumpkin patch, games, craft vendors, a gigantic corn maze, petting zoo and other things. Great place to take the family.
We should've gotten there earlier than we did, though, cause we ended up only having 2 hours or so to do stuff. I thought it would be long enough, but I actually felt like staying longer! I'll remember for next time. The reason we didn't get there till a little before 4 is because someone at IHOP was having a party (not specifically for me) the same day and I wanted to make sure I was there for at least; it was a neighborhood thing and I really wanted to meet other (what we affectionately call) IHOPers. =)
After the festival we all got pumpkins and went to my house for a pumpkin carving party. It was really fun! We should've had a contest for the best pumpkin carving, but I didn't think of it till it was too late. I know who it would've gone to, too. One of my friends carved Jesus' face into a pumpkin and it looked really good! I was so surprised! I told him he couldn't do it and he took on the challenge. Photos of my party are below.
The Lord really blessed me a lot for my birthday. He provided my sister with the ability to spoil me and made the weather beautiful for me and showered His love down upon me. I think that maybe He's happy He created me. ;-) lol. Praise the Lord, oh my soul, Praise the Lord!
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and bring you peace. May you seek His face and let your life be filled up by Him and come to know how deep and wide and high and long His love for you is.
